Nashi Pear -Pyrus pyrifolia from Reads Nursery

Nashi Pear -Pyrus pyrifolia A large golden, russeted fruit which sets a heavy crop which will benefit from a light thinning. The fruit has a crisp white flesh which is so different form any other pear, aromatic and juicy with no hint of grainyness. The aromatic flavour develops off the tree and can be stored for a few weeks in a fridge, pre-cooled snacks ! The tree will grow to aproximately 12 ft (4m) in 10 years. Pear - Beurre Hardy from Reads Nursery

Pear - Beurre Hardy A medium to large pear, with light green skin covered in a bronze russet over the fruit. Tender and juicy with a rosewater flavour. A prolific cropper, very good for poor soils. Raised in France 1820. This pear picks in late September for October eating. Pollination group 4. Features Quince A rootstock, growing to approx 10ft / 3.5m when mature

Pear - Doyenne du Comice from Reads Nursery

Pear - Doyenne du Comice RHS Award of Garden Merit. Large fruit, lemon yellow with patches of russet speckling. Very juicy, buttery flesh, delicately perfumed. This is a very good eating pear but does need more dedication to get the best fruit. Pollination group 4. Features Quince A rootstock, growing to approx 10ft / 3.5m when mature



Pear - Pitmaston Duchess from Reads Nursery

Pear - Pitmaston Duchess RHS Award of Garden Merit - A very large, long ,golden yellow fruit .Slightly russeted, the yellow flesh is juicy with a rich flavour,one of the finest dessert pears when cropped well. Ripening in mid September and keeps for a few weeks . Partially self fertile and also triploid. Pollination group 4. Features Pyrodwarf rootstock, growing to 10-12 ft / 4m when mature.
